Here is a comprehensive guide to Commencement 2012, KU’s 140th ceremony honoring graduates. It includes information about the Application for Degree, regalia rental, the procession, and parking and seating for guests, among other details.

Commencement 2012 will be distinguished by the conferral of KU’s first honorary degrees to four persons of exceptional achievement in government service, industry, and the arts.

The honorees are alumni Sheila Bair, former FDIC chairwoman, doctor of laws; Robert J. Dole, former U.S. senator, doctor of laws; and Alan Mulally, Ford Motor Co. CEO, doctor of science; and composer Kirke L. Mechem, doctor of arts.
